Melbourne Victory can confirm that defender Jason Davidson will depart the Club to pursue an opportunity overseas.
Davidson made 28 appearances across all competitions for the Club, scoring two goals including his free-kick that lead to the 2021 Australia Cup triumph. Davidson was undoubtedly a fan favourite throughout his time at Melbourne Victory, famously spending time celebrating in the North End.
Director of Football, John Didulica thanked Davidson for his impact throughout the 2021/22 season.
“As a Club, we are proud we were able to elevate Jason back into the national team but we also understand that comes with the challenge of losing players to Europe and other competitions around the world,” Didulica said.
“As much as we would have loved Jason to stay with the Club, we wish him all the best in Europe leading into Qatar 2022 and have no doubt he cherished his time with Victory.”
The Club would like to thank Jason for his contribution and wish him and his family the best for the future.
