Melbourne Victory’s Men and Women squads are in for their upcoming matches.

Jason Geria was rested last week and will be available to return on Monday night at AAMI Park against Brisbane Roar.

Brendan Hamill is also in line to return after missing last week through covid protocols.

“Brendan’s come up good. He’s healthy and is moving well at training,” coach Tony Popovic said.

Hamill is likely to replace Matt Spiranovic, who left last week’s match with a quad strain and will miss on Monday.

“We’ll see how Matt recovers. He’s not running yet but he’s making positive strides and improving daily.”

Rai Marchan remains out but is closing in on a return to action.

“Rai’s recovery is going well. He’s removed the braces from his mouth so he’s getting a lot closer now. He’s doing some work on the field now and he’s unrestricted.

“He’s a lot happier and feels he’s getting closer. We’ve missed him and we’ll be delighted to have him back.”

The Women’s team rotated their line-up in Canberra on Tuesday to manage fatigue through their busy schedule.

Alex Chidiac, who came off the bench and found the back of the net, is likely to play a larger role on Saturday in Adelaide.

Paige Zois and Emma Robers made their first A-League Women starts and will be eager to contribute again.

Claudia Bunge‘s SheBelieves Cup campaign ended with New Zealand on Thursday but she won’t be back in time to face Adelaide.
