Melbourne Victory’s Guillermo May was live on 3AW’s Sports Today on Friday night.
The Uruguayan striker gave his first interview since joining the Club earlier this month, chatting exclusively to Laura Spurway about his decision to join the Boys in Blue ahead of the 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
He arrives at AAMI Park with a CV that features a Championship and Premiership with former side Auckland FC, and could add his first piece of silverware as a Victory player in the Hahn Australia Cup Final against South Melbourne on Saturday, October 10, kick-off 7:35pm AEDT.
Speaking to 3AW, May discussed his appetite to make an immediate impact.
“The most important thing for me was to join another winning project. For me, it was really good to know that we are capable of winning the Championship and the Premiership.
“I wanted a new project, a new desire, a big club that has been without winning titles the last couple of years, so I want to lead the Club back to that winning mentality.”
